We send a single reminder before the next MOT is due. That's it.

The reminder is based on the DVSA's record — the same source the test centres feed.
Free MOT history bundled
Each reminder includes a one-click link to the full MOT history report.
Frequently asked questions
- Enter the registration on this page. We'll fetch the next-due date from DVSA records and (optionally) email you a reminder a fortnight before so the test never lapses.
- Up to a calendar month minus a day, with the new certificate keeping the existing expiry date. So if your MOT is due 15 March, you can re-test from 16 February and the new certificate still expires 15 March the following year.
- Up to a £1,000 fine for driving without a valid MOT. Cars without an MOT can be moved only to a pre-booked test or to a place of repair. Any insurance claim while uninsured-equivalent could also be voided.
- No. We'll email you a single MOT-due reminder ~14 days before the test is due, and a follow-up if it lapses. You can unsubscribe from the first email. We don't share your email with third parties.
- Almost every UK car needs an annual MOT once it's three years old. Cars over 40 years old are typically MOT-exempt unless materially modified. SORN'd cars don't need an MOT until taken back on the road.
