Privacy Policy

Last updated

In plain terms, here is what actually happens to your data.

What we hold

When you create an account we store your email address, a username, an optional phone number, and a one-way hash of your password — never the password itself.

  • The vehicle registrations you look up, and the reports produced from them
  • Your credit balance and a record of purchases
  • Basic analytics about pages visited

Who else is involved

We use a small number of third parties to run the service. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Vehicle data comes from licensed providers drawing on DVLA, DVSA, the Police National Computer, the ABI and UK finance houses. We use Google reCAPTCHA to keep bots out and Google Analytics to understand traffic.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. We'll action deletion requests promptly.

To make any of those requests, open a ticket and we'll deal with it directly.

Getting the full document

If you need the complete policy before it's published here — for a purchase decision, a complaint, or a data request — open a support ticket and we'll send you what we have.
